blogger - Feedback sought on comments

I activated yesterday the new comment section of blogger on my weblog after Haloscan, who mostly takes care of that service, disappeared, yet again. They are back now, and there are now two ways to comment on my blog.
I have some problems with the blogger-comments, since they seem to push registration for people who comment. When you comment anonymously - that is possible - I do get an email with that comment (a large improvement), but it does not show up on the weblog.
Not sure which of the two I like most. Any comments?
Ellen Sander is not happy, I noted.

I do like the email system: in the past I would easy miss comments. It would only become a nuisance when I would get hundreds of comments, but I have been unable to do that.

Another feature of the blogger comments the halo scan comments do not have: the whole posts appears again in full at my RSS-reader. Not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing.

They have a good idea where on your main page you can not see the comments only whether there is any, you have to click on it to go the post specific page to read or post which is a hassle because it takes you to the top of the post and you have to scroll down.

You can have your comments appearing on your main page as well and you can find how to do this in Blogger help and "Comments". If you post alot and/or get a lot of comments this is probably not the way to go.

But all in all the best part for me (not that I get too many) is the email notification.

Regards

Dear Stephen,

I tried keeping the comments on the top blog page but it didn't work. If you turn individual posts off in Settings, it tells you to go turn comments off before it will save the setting. It's probably supposed to work the way you say, but not quite yet.
