IMD-professor Bill Fischer has a nice column at Chinabiz on the competitive power of China. Everything you wanted to know about the Hondzuki.
Where have all those mechanics gone today? If you live in the U.S., or much of Europe, and your car breaks down, you're in big trouble. The person at what used to be a "garage" is now much better equipped to sell you a soft-drink than to look under your hood [bonnet]. Not so in China. A 21st century global "census of mechanics" would probably find that the "Corkys" and "Saltys" and "Vinnies" of the past garages in the West, have become the Wangs and Zhous of China's machine-shops.
