economy - Growth: 9.4 percent
I almost forgot this boring detail: China's economy has been growing 9.4 percent in the third quarter of 2005, media have been reporting.
Technically bad news, since the central government is trying to slow down the growth pace. Formal expectations were at 8.5 percent, almost a percent lower.
For 2006 expectations have been raised to 9 percent. Export grew to USD 564 billion in the first nine months, 31 percent higher than the previous year.
