internet - A computer for less than 100 USD

The World Bank PSD Blog tells about the project "One laptop per child". That reminds me very much about a project I heard about in May, during a meeting of the Shanghai Foreign Correspondents Club.
The idea sounds very much similar, but was focused on the Chinese countryside. Looks like inventing the printing press: despite the internet, people can do this at different places in the world anyway.
