Shanghai will start checking the temperature of international passangers entering or leaving the country from Monday to stop possible bird flu from spreading, the People's Daily writes.
A passenger who has a temperature of over 38 Celsius degrees will be further examined; in case the person has been to a bird flu-hit area or had contact with birds or poultry, treatment at a designated hospital is required.Systems are still in place at the two airports since the SARS-epidemic hit China in 2003.
