internet - Baidu: 16 million bloggers

The Chinese search engine estimates the number of Chinese webloggers at 16 million, China Web2.0 Review tells me. The research is based on their own indexed pages and sounds more reliable than anything I have seen up to now.
The number of blogs is estimated at 37 million, 2.3 blogs per weblogger on average. China has 658 hosting services of weblogs, half of whom have more than a thousand weblogs.
