internet - Shuttered flower market goes onlineIt is one of those days with too many offline activities, too much news. And just now my firefox crashed, destroying a nice line-up of interesting China news. Well, bugger it.
This is nice enough to tell. Shanghai closed its famous flower market and what did about one hundred traders do? They got online, reports the Shanghai Daily. You can order your flowers now here, and soon next year there will be an English site too.
It is so much different from the first internet hype, when people set up internet markets that really did not work, because too few people were online. Now there is enough momentum, at least for these flower traders, to get their business from the internet.
