internet - Wordpress, Ipowerweb routinely delete weblogs
The Chinese bloghosphere is up in arms as hosts of weblogs routinely do the opposite of what they are supposed to do: they delete weblogs, even without notifying the owners. The Chinese edition of Wordpress, only introduced recently, has enraged Chinese webloggers, writes China Web2.0 Review.
The relations between the Chinese edition and Wordpress.com remains unclear as are the reason to delete weblogs without any notification.
One of China's most famous bloggers, Wang Jianshuo, was last week suddenly out of the air because his host Ipowerweb, switched him off, he writes eight days after the incident. He is now struggling to recover three years of work.
the ISP I chose, ipowerweb.com found there is some phishing content on my site (as they said), and it was their legal responsibility to shutdown the site (also as they said). The result is, they deleted the content I built in the last 3 years within one minute. I am working with them to get the data from the backup server. That seems to be working, fortunately, but it seems an odd way to make your customers happy.
