NYT reporter Zhao Yan

media - New York Times reports from Shanghai court

The New York Times Beijing office will get four days of unrestricted access at a court in Shanghai, the Korea Herald reports (I learned from the American Thinker, via Simon World.)Guess they did not want to cooperate with the Beijing judicial authorities (or visa versa) who are responsible for detaining their reporter Zhao Yan.

Update: And 15 months after his arrest, on de last day legally possible, Zhao Yan got indicted, waiting for his trial early next year, here according to the International Herald Tribune.
