internet - Baidu wants to charge themselves out of the market

"Is this pressure from the investment market," wonders Bingfeng Teahouse when he reports that China's preferred search engine is going to charge their customers for several services like finding software, movies or e-books. He might be right and it sounds straightforward stupid. Charging for searches might only be a good idea when you offer a service people want to pay for. Why would anybody pay Baidu for their services? I hope it was their investor who came up with the idea, not the Baidu-management themselves.
