economy - PetroChina buys 10% of Burma's gas

The Chinese oil giant PetroChina has bought almost 10 percent of the Burmese gas reserves, writes the online publication Irrawaddy.
Many more dollars will probably flow as a pipeline plan, road, and railway projects suggest Beijing is close to opening trade routes through Burma—a long-held dream.
China has a rather agressive policy in trying to secure more energy sources to support its booming economy, but according to Irrawaddy offer the Burmese ports also a logistical solution for much of Central China.
