media - Chinese companies going global

The China Daily reported today about a report - supposedly released yesterday by the "IBM Institute of Business Value" - identifying sixty Chinese companies that have potential to go global. When China's propaganda machines start to produce that kind of political correct articles, I do have to dig a bit deeper. It mentions all the right names: CNOOC, COSCO, BaoSteel, Haier, Huawei, Ningbo Bird.
The report was not readily available online (and I have asked for a copy), but a press release offers a bit more insight. First, the research is not done by IBM alone, but together with Fudan University in Shanghai. Now clue why the China Daily does not report that, since Fudan is quite a famous university.
More interestingly, the study does not indentify "60 national companies" as the China Daily claims, but the "IBM and Fudan University Study Identifies Chinese Companies and Industries Most Likely to Expand Globally Over Next Ten Years".
The China Daily story did not say the study included 'industries' and did not mention the time frame of ten years. Heck, in that way I can make predictions too.
