media - SARFT tries to expand its turf

The news by China Tech News that the State Administration of Radio TV and Film (SARFT) is trying to extend its grip on the TV-monitors in public transportation and taxi's. They of course start by making themselves impossible by stipulating you can only show digital TV when you have more than 2,000 vehicles and a "high-developed" economy.
More interesting is this tendency of ruling outside their traditional turf. In the permanent battle for power between government departments, SARFT might as well set its conservative eyes on what is going to happen next with our mobile phones.
