Shaun Rein of the CMR Groupinternet - The exploding blogging business
I missed this piece in Business Week by Shaun Rein, founder of the China Market Research Group, on the growing influence of Chinese internet users on companies, but fortunately Danwei did notice it.
While the piece does not offer too many surprises, the fact that a US business publication focuses on the heavy-handed conflicts between corporations and China's internet users adds to the momentum. In the piece the "online nightmares" of Volkswagen, Häagen-Dazs and the Carlyle Group are used as examples.
Danwei points rightfully at another exploding business here: that of consultants that have to make sense out of this exploding Chinese anarchy.
