banned

media - SARFT bans revenue stream

When the daily paper of the communist party, the People's Daily, announces tough governmental measures, it might be true, but it might also be government propaganda.
This piece of possible news is interesting enough to reproduce here: it suggests that TV-stations might lose 60 percent of their ad revenue because of a new ban introduced by SARFT, the regulatory department that has to stop radio, TV and film from really becoming good.
They have banned a whole set of products from the advertissements: weight loss, breast enlargement and 'other' beauty products. I doubt whether the damage would really be that high, but is for sure seems a way to prevent media from making money, one of SARFT's core competencies.
