labor - Only 2,900 miners died

In the section 'good news' the state news agency Xinhua tells us that in the first eight months of this year only 2,900 miners died according to the official record of the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) - yes, a think like that does exist. That is about hundred Transrapids that have been crashed. The good part is that compared to last year the number of casualities has dropped dramatically: the number is down 25.5 percent or 993 miners.
