Shanghai customer seeks refund

media - The developing SK-II crisis

Procter and Gamble is heading for a major clash with Chinese consumers as the SK-II recall triggers off major media attention. P&G decided to call off all sales on Friday and customers are scrambling to get refunds. One of the reason to close the sales are "security concerns" reports the Shanghai Daily, as customers take on P&G staff.
Police were called to the Park Hotel in Shanghai on Wednesday to help deal with some 400 angry consumers seeking refunds on SK-II products.
Customers were upset they had to sign a waiver saying there was nothing wrong with the quality of the cosmetics and that they would have to wait one month before getting a cash refund.
CRS-Asia notes that Baidu by now lists more than 1,200 stories on the scandal and gives here an overview of the story in pictures.
