economy - Anti-Chinese riots to continue in Zambia

In July riots at a Chinese-owned mine in Zambia already raised attention, but the problems have only expanded since then. The issue has become a heated debate in the recent elections and China's search for raw materials is turning against the 30,000+ Chinese in Lusaka, the capital, writes the Daily Telegraph. Mr Sata, an opposition leader:
We want to work with the Chinese, but they must change,” he said. “Their labour relations are very bad. They are not adding any value to what they claim is investment. Instead of creating jobs for the local workforce, they bring in Chinese workers to cut wood and carry water. “We don’t want Zambia to be a dumping ground for their human beings.”
