economy - Do not give money to beggars

The foreign correspondents in Beijing got it last night from a good source: Muhammed Yunus, Bangladeshi Nobel prize winner for creating a micro credit system that lifted many out of poverty. Do not give money to beggars. Unfortunately, the audio that should give the explanation was lacking today; I will check in tomorrow again.
Happy to see that the colleagues in Beijing are having such a great meeting. Here in Shanghai the foreign correspondents club seems all but dead.
