economy - Chery abandons car export

The famous Anhui car company Chery has abolished ambitious plans to export next year 250,000 cars to the US, reports the Chinabiz Media Watch. The Chinese automaker has fallen out with the New York car importer, Visionary Vehicles, who has not invested the capital it promised. Officials at Chery are also said to dislike the operational style of the CEO of Visionary, Malcolm Bricklin.
On its side, Visionary blames Chery for making a substandard car that is not good enough for the US consumer.

Update: Unconfirmed rumors say Chery is planning to do business with other US companies.

A pretty slick commercial by Chery
