internet - Picked Google Reader as my preferred rss-reader

I reported about my frustrating experience with my old rss-reader Bloglines. Although the services seems to be back in business now, they have lost me permanently to Google Readers. It was a bit like saying goodbye to an old car you know that has a lot of problems. You still hang on to the old thing, because you are used to it. Only when you sit in a new car and explore all the new possibilities, you know it is time to switch.
What was very frustrating about Bloglines was that you could not click-away feeds from search engines like Google News. Unlike other websites and weblogs, who pop up only once at Bloglines, hundreds of feeds from news services kept on appearing. When recently also Technorati feeds did not go away anymore, the services was really becoming a nuisance.
Google Readers is also not perfect. For example, they do not have a notifier yet to tell me when there is something new and I cannot yet republish my RSS-feeds on my weblog. But otherwise, life has become again a bit easier.
