Lei Feng on a condom packagelife - Lei Feng condom too expensive
Ok, there are going to be a lot of nasty jokes about China's national hero Lei Feng, now he has appeared as the brand name on a condom. Letters from China has a nice start.
As I have discussed before, the matter of Lei Feng having a girlfriend, let lone a boy friend, is still at the hands of the national spindoctors.
My main objection against this campaign would be the pricing. Three condoms for 12 Renminbi! That is far too expensive. In Shanghai you can get them for one renminbi a piece and then the margin is still 80, 90 percent. Lei Feng would have given them away for free to his friends.

It's actually a condom case - metal - which explains the cost. The company apparently has a huge variety of different labels, and was busted in the past for using PSB and UN logos on cases that purported to be "Registered Lech" or "License to Ladykill" kinds of things.

uMmm... okay... knowing a national hero (one that my grandfather used to tell me bed time stories about) just gets me out of any mood having anything to do with condoms!!
Wouldn't it be funny thinking about leifeng when you are doing it?
