culture - Keep the dragon as it is

A rather obscure scientist has caused some uproar by suggesting the the Chinese dragon is conveying the wrong image to the outside world. Western culture sees a dragon mostly as dangerous and aggressive, and according to Wu Youfu of the Shanghai International Studies University that should change.

In China the dragon is seen as a benign creature, as you can see on the picture. It is part of much folk festivals and the friendly animal shows up at every festive opportunity. Many Chinese companies have a dragon in their name.

Now, Wu says he has been misquoted and only wanted the dragon to be more harmonious. Is there anything that could be more harmonious than the current dragon?
