ABC's change from banana's into mango's

Interesting observation I noted in an article I help to correct. The so-called American-born Chinese of ABC's were also called banana's, yellow on the outside but white on the inside. Now, says the article, the ABC's are now rather turning into mango's, yellow outside, and yellow inside.
