Sloppy research on gender discrimination

Sometimes it is really stunning how sloppy research can be. I was intrigued by the headline in the Shanghai Daily, suggesting women would have a harder time than men in finding a job on the Shanghai labor market.
The research, done by the Shanghai' Womens' Federation, interviewed only women, as far as I can read from the article. How can you actually suggest women have it tougher than men without actually asking the men?
