Maglev protest almost on my doorstep

Amazing footage from a citizens protest against the expansion of the Maglev, the magnetically elevated train from Germany, from Shangiist. I missed it of course, but also quite uncommon in Xujiahui's major shopping center.

Update: New planned protests at People's Square on Saturday have met stiff resistance by the local police, reports Shanghaiist.
